The Classique d’automne (Fall classic) will be held on the weekend of September 21st and 22nd on the Jim Russell Karting Academy racetrack in Mont-Tremblant. This event will feature the fifth round of the Quebec Championship and the final round of the Montreal Cup.
The event will be presented over two days. Practices will take place on Saturday, September 21st with qualifying in the late afternoon while pre-final and final races will be held on Sunday, September 22nd.
“The event has a great importance because it will determine the champions of the 2019 Coupe de Montréal Championship. As the racetrack is subject to a strict curfew, we want to avoid ending the season with short final races like last year due to a long red flag delay. This will give us some flexibility in the case of unforeseen circumstances. As the championship trophies will be awarded at the end of the day on Sunday, we will finish earlier if we don’t need the time saved,” explained Patrick Moreau, series coordinator.
The Supplementary Regulations for the event will be posted online next week and registration will open on September 3rd. Make sure you like our Facebook page to be notified when it is published.
