The 2023 Coupe de Montréal Karting Championship regulation is now online and is available on the REGULATION page.
There are few changes compared to last year’s regulation. Among them, please note:
- as already announced last January, all events will be held over two days with practices and qualifications on Saturday, while the pre-finals and finals will take place on Sunday. Considering the number of participants and different categories, last year clearly showed that it was no longer possible to fit everything into one day.
- as there is no special prize at the end for the season for the TM KZ-M1 categories, they are now combined with the Shifter Open categories with a different minimum weight.
- for organizational reasons and due to the large number of participants, regular registration will now close on Wednesday morning at 10am before the event. After that, it will still be possible to register for a late fee of $75.00 until Friday at noon, when registration will be completely closed. Last year, we still had too many last minute registrations, often forcing us to change the schedule at the last minute and preventing us from properly managing the registrations and making the necessary verifications. The idea is not to have more revenue but to give us the time to prepare the event properly. With an average of more than 200 participants, you will understand that not everything can be done at the last minute and that we have to manage the needs (notably tires, parking arrangements, etc.).
The information and documents needed for the first round of the season on April 29 and 30 will be published next week.
